Jacob Solkoff is a third-generation Elder Law attorney at Solkoff Legal, P.A. Jacob’s father, Scott Solkoff, founded Solkoff Legal, P.A., in Delray Beach, Florida. Jacob’s grandfather, Jerome Solkoff, was one of the founders of the field of Elder Law.
Jacob is a graduate of the Elder Law College 360 program and a member of Elder Law College. Having grown up around the field of Elder Law, Jacob understands the importance of assisting the elderly and disabled in planning for their future and navigating the Medicaid and Veterans Benefits systems.
Prior to practicing Elder Law, Jacob represented indigent clients as a criminal defense attorney in Boston. He has also worked on federal criminal defense cases.
Jacob spent his early life growing up in South Florida before earning his bachelor’s degree from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, and his juris doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of both the Florida and Massachusetts bars. In his free time, Jacob enjoys reading, traveling, and watching baseball.
Board certification recognizes attorneys’ special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in various areas of law, professionalism, and ethics. Solkoff lawyers are Florida Bar Board Certified Specialists in Elder Law.
NAELA is a non-profit organization that assists lawyers, bar organizations, and others. Their mission is to educate, inspire, serve, and provide community to attorneys with practices in special needs and elder law.
